MNA and former Minister for Industries, Production & Special Initiatives Jahangir Tareen has property valued in excess of Rs 816.62 million while his spouse has an estimated worth greater than Rs 212.69 million, the statement of assets and liabilities filed with Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) revealed.
According to the statement, Jahangir owns the following immoveable assets: (i) plot at Bani Gala, Islamabad worth Rs 6.77 million; (ii) a house at Changla Gali valued at Rs 39.3 million; (iii) 27-officer Colony at Multan estimated at Rs 1 million; and (iv) apartment No 3 Gulberg-II Lahore valued at Rs 11.75 million. He also owns 376.5 acres of land at Lodhran worth more than Rs 32.67 million, a house at Lodhran valued at Rs 4 million and agricultural equipment worth Rs 14.399 million.
His other assets are: three vehicles Prado, Range Rover and Suzuki Cultus, valued at Rs 7.95 million, jewellery Rs 4.5 million, furniture and articles of personal use Rs 2.7 million and other assets of a total value of Rs 459.23 million that include JDW Sugar Mills Limited, JK Dairies (pvt) Limited and JDW Aviation (pvt) Limited. Jahangir has borrowed Rs 172.43 million from KASB Bank Limited and Rs 128.65 million from Mybank Limited. He has a Rs 4.836 million bank balance in various banks.
His spouse Amina Tareen has 183 acres of non agricultural property valued in excess of Rs 66.57 million at Model Town Lahore, 64 acres of agricultural land at Lodhran valued at Rs 2.98 million, 10 marla plot at DHA Lahore worth Rs 2 million and 14.06 kanal agricultural land at Lahore worth Rs 0.302 million.
She owns jewellery worth Rs 15 million and furniture of Rs 3.8 million. She has investments in public and private companies including 736,948 shares in Superior Textile Ltd, 500,000 shares in Riaz Bottlers (pvt) Ltd and 7796 shares in Tareen Ginning Industries (pvt) Ltd, 1,852,851 shares in JDW Sugar Mills Ltd valued at more than Rs 30.41 million. She has an apartment in Canada valued at Rs 63 million.
