The Executive Committee of Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB) has approved a travelling grant of Rs 3.04 million for funding foreign trips of twelve agricultural scientists to attend various scientific conferences/workshops abroad. The approval was given in a meeting, which was also informed by the high ups of the Board that University of Sargodha is organising first International Citrus Congress on April 12 and 13.
The Executive Committee approved to bear travel and boarding expenses of five foreign delegates in this regard. Dr Mubarak Ali, Chairman Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB) said in the meeting that the Chief Minister, Punjab has desired to arrange an Agricultural Conference in Lahore during April 2010. The Executive Committee allowed PARB to bear the expenses of organising the conference to the tune of Rs 2 million.
