HOUSTON: The US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said on Sunday that Hurricane Nate had shut 92.61 percent, or 1.62 million barrels per day, of offshore crude oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, a slight increase from Saturday.
Nate, which made landfall late on Saturday night, has also shut 77.74 percent, or 2.5 billion cubic feet per day, of offshore natural gas output in the Gulf.
