The annual "Hyderabad spring Flower Show 2010" will be held from March 19 to 21 at Nursery Park, Unit No 6 Latifabad Hyderabad organised by District Government Hyderabad to provide recreational activities and healthy atmosphere for the people of Hyderabad and its adjourning areas.
This was decided in a meeting presided over by Administrator Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri at Zila Nazim Secretariat Hyderabad on Thursday. The meeting, which was attended by all EDOs, head of Nation Building Departments, NGOs, and managers of different nurseries, discussed the modalities of this flower show and chalked out strategy in such a way to make this event more successful and meaningful.
In order to make this event more systematic and success, the Administrator Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri constituted 15-members organising committee headed by himself, with 11 sub-committees, including stall registration committee headed by EDO Agriculture Hyderabad, exhibition committee by Administrator Latifabad, Transport & Co-ordination committee and Award committee by EDO Revenue, accounts committee by EDO Finance, Publicity and gift/fund committee by EDO CDD, Security and traffic committee headed by DPO Hyderabad while Technical/Opening and closing ceremonies committee would be formed later on.
The Administrator nominated EDO Revenue Hyderabad as convenor for these organising sub-committees. It was decided that registration of stalls would be started from March 9 to 12 at the offices of district officers' Forest and District officer CDD. He directed the officers entrusted in these sub-committees to provide maximum facilities to the participating nurseries and the visitors.
He also directed officers to arrange Food Street and plantation-oriented literatures available in the flower show for the awareness of the people. The Administrator also announced that in order to provide more incentives among the participating nurseries the rate of prize amount would be increased as compared to last year.
Addressing the meeting, the Administrator Hyderabad said that district government in addition to other development activities was providing other recreational, cultural and social activities for the people to bring old glories of this city back. He said that Hyderabad was a historical and had been remained hub of cultural activities with harmony among the people of each walk of life.
