Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has once again issued warning for vacating a building declared dangerous in Liaquatabad Town while on a directive of CCOB Manzoor Kadir, a marriage hall was seals and various illegal constructions demolished.
According to details the KBCA had declared 4-storeyed building on Plot No 2/5-D, Block-2, Liaquatabad Town as dangerous and included it in the list of such buildings in July 2009 and residents advised to vacate the same. However, residents continue to reside in the building ignoring the KBCA's warning.
A report of the KBCA Technical committee has stated that the building was tilting on one side and in such a situation it can come down under its own weight as a result of which there is apprehension of loss of lives. Meanwhile on the directive of Chief Controller, a demolition squad sealed an illegal marriage hall on Plot No F-29, Sector 31-E, Korangi Town while illegal 3rd and 4th floors on Plot No L-180, Sector 31-G, Korangi were pulled down.
