Despite passage of period of two and half months, the administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has failed to get installed Neuro-angiography machine for the benefit of stroke patients at large. The Neuro-angiography machine was purchased for the LGH, on the special directions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, against an amount of Rs 120 million.
Sources in the LGH told Business Recorder that the machine is still lying in boxes due to indifferent attitude of management of the LGH, which wanted to construct a separate place for the purpose, which require a period of further 2-3 months. It may be noted that Neuro-angiography machine is used for brain angiography for the treatment of stroke and other patients. The private sector hospitals charge Rs 20,000-25,000 for brain angiography.
