The administration of Students' Inn Coaching Centre has been accused of running the fake business of investment in its educational campuses and deprived many innocent investors of Rs 100 million on the name of monthly profit. Despite, registration of FIRs at many of the city's police station, the culprits could not be arrested.
This was stated by Convenor Effectees of Students' Inn Action Committee Muhammad Hazkeel Kadwani, while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club on Friday. He said Students; Inn Coaching Centre was established in 1984 and it has its six campuses in Karachi, one in Lahore and two in Hyderabad.
He claimed the owner of the coaching centre; violating rules of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have deceived many middle class people and deprived them of Rs 100 million on the name of 3 percent monthly profit. To start the corrupt business, the administration of the coaching centre had initially paid the investors with monthly profit, later refused to pay back the investment due to losses," he added.
He said the owners of the coaching centre have given post dated checks to the effectees, but the checks bounced. Effectees are moving to and to get their investment back, but no one is ready to pay heed to this issue, he said.
He said Muhammad Rizwan son of Muhammad Ismail, who is among the effectees, has lodged an FIR no 1122/2009 under section 489-F in Ferozabad police station, Wasi Ahmed son of Shafi Ahmed lodged FIR no. 1161/2009 under section 489-F in the same police station against Saifullah Saifi and administration of coaching centre for looting Rs 100 million from people on October 22, 2009.
Another affected person Abdul Nasir Hameed have also registered an FIR no. 53/2010 on January 15, 2010 in Ferozabad police station against the owners of coaching centre for looting Rs 4.6 million from him, he said, adding yet another innocent person have lodged FIR no. 44/2010 on February 18, 2010 in Mangopir police station, but police freed the culprit due to growing political pressure.
He said the directors of the coaching centre Suhaila Saifi, Shezar Saifi and Samia Saifi have tried to harass the effected persons and forced them for withdrawing registered FIRs. "Saifullah Saifi is the resident of 16/02, Zulfiqar Street-I, near Carlton Hotel, Defence," the convenor maintained.
They demanded of Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, Inspector General of Police Sindh Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Waseem Ahmed to look into the matter and punish the culprits.
