Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) and National Press Club (NPC) in a joint session held here on Friday reposed full confidence in the leadership of former President of NPC Mushtaq Minhas. The meeting strongly condemned a malicious propaganda being carried out by certain elements against Mushtaq Minhas.
The meeting chaired by acting president of NPC Muhammad Aslam Dogar, was attended by President of PFUJ Pervaiz Shaukat, Secretary NPC Asim Rana, General Secretary of RIUJ Jamil Mirza, former NPC President Tariq Chaudhry and acting president of RIUJ Amir Sajjad besides a large number of journalists.
The meeting passed a unanimous resolution in support of Mushtaq Minhas and appreciated the services that he had rendered for promoting welfare of the journalist community.
The speakers at the meeting stated that anti-Media Town elements were hatching conspiracies to subvert the housing project but the journalists stood completely united to foil their nefarious designs. It was decided to hold a general body meeting of the NPC and a date for this would be announced later by the General Secretary.
