NWFP Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack in District Hangu on Friday and expressed deep shock and sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He described the incident as a highly cowardly act of terrorism. "This gruesome act on the sacred day, wherein even women and children have been hit, itself speaks of the retrogressive mindset of the elements involved", he added.
In a condolence message, NWFP Governor said the elements involved in heinous acts of terrorism were already on the run and targeting innocent citizens in frustration. Such miscreants, he added, were in fact the enemies of the country and their inhuman acts fully exposed their nefarious designs in which they would never succeed.
While expressing his heartfelt sympathies with members of the bereaved families, Ghani expressed confidence that the elements involved in the crimes would be brought to justice. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls. He appealed to the people to continue their co-operation with the law enforcement agencies and ensure lasting peace in the area.
