Punjab chief minister approves 750 additional vacancies of PG Trainee Doctors
Chief Minister Punjab, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has given approval for creating 750 additional vacancies of Post Graduate (Trainee) Doctors in the teaching hospitals of the Province and Finance Department has already released funds to the tune of Rs 118.125 million for this purpose.
The Secretary Health Punjab, Fawad Hasan Fawad while presiding over a departmental meeting here on Friday disclosed this. Special Secretary Health Mohammad Abdullah Khan Sumbal, Additional Secretary Health (Tech.) Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, Deputy Secretary Budget Sarfraz Ahmed and other officers attended the meeting. Secretary Health told that by creating these posts the scope of Post Graduation for the doctors would be enhanced more over it would also help to overcome the shortage of specialist doctors in the public sector's hospitals.
