Former Punjab Chief Minister and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and property in an attack in Model Town on Monday and said the Punjab government despite prior information failed to take any steps to avert the incident.
He was talking to reporters after inquiring after the health of injured persons here at Jinnah hospital. Accompanied by PML-Q leaders, Elahi strongly condemned the incident and said that due to inefficiency of the government neither protective measures were taken nor the sensitive office was shifted from the residential area. He called for shifting such offices from the residential areas in the City.
