The Karachi Port handled 147,810 tonnes of cargo including 80,120 tonnes of import cargo; 67,690 tonnes of export cargo and 3,254 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 80,120 tonnes comprised of 13,913 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,027 tonnes of bulk cargo; 2,590 tonnes of wheat and 62,590 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 67,690 tonnes comprised of 34,956 tonnes of containerised cargo; 456 tonnes of bulk cargo; 16,454 tonnes of cement; 9,724 tonnes of rice and 6,100 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely APL Sokhna, Bunga Raya Tiga, Freedom, Lucky-7, Thomas Mann, APL Brisbane, Al-Ihsa'a and Master Nicos sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Al-Ihsa'a, Freedom, APL Brisbane, Queen Arrow-II, Seaways Venture, Ermis and Kota Anggerik are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Queen Arrow-II, Conti Express, Martigny and Kota Anggerik expected to sail on Tuesday, while three vessel viz TB Baltimor, Tug Baltimor and Chi Feng Kou expected to sail on Wednesday.
Eight vessels viz MT Swat, Sagamore, Kota Layar, MSC Peggy, Lucky Carrier, Genius Star-III, Lucky Arrow and Song Nghan due to arrive on Tuesday, while four ships namely Al-Marwah, X-Press Annapurna, Bunga Raya Tapan and Thuringia Express are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 51,723 tonnes of cargo includes 37,090 tonnes of import cargo; 14,633 tonnes of export cargo and 2,430 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 37,090 tonnes includes 10,600 tonnes of palm oil; 3,090 tonnes of seeds and 23,400 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 14,633 tonnes includes 4,193 tonnes of rice and 10,440 tonnes of containerised cargo.
One vessel viz MV Cheng Yun sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while three more vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak, MT Bow Power and MV Priscilia Venture are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. Five vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak, MV Tan Binh-34, MV Cheng Yun, MV Priscilia Venture and MT Bow Power are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, rape seeds and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A total number of two ships namely Mater Trade and ACX Hibiscus carrying cemrnt and container respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Nine ships namely Lobivia, ACX Hibiscus, CMA CGM Azure, Orient-II, Super Star-III MV Theak, Iron Monger-5, MT Royal Peridot and MT Chemtrans Elbe scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, rice, furnace oil, palm oil and chemicaals due to arrive on Wednesda Four more vessels viz CV HS Beethoven, CV CMA CGM Puget, CV Al-Noof and MT Al-Salam-II are due to arrive on Thursday.
