On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 8,578.30 points and after remaining in positive for almost an hour, it fell and then largely remained in negative. It touched intraday high of 8,631.37 and low of 8,543.80 poinys and closed at 8,574.76 points showing negative change of -3.54 points or -0.04 percent. The volume was 98,387,134 shares, which was 76.96 percent of KSE All share volume and 91.1 percent of KSE 100 volume.
The KSE All Share volume was 127,835,678 shares and that of KSE100 108,001,142 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,724.67 with a net positive change of 11.12 points or percentage change of 0.41 and turnover of 23,949,636 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 789.26 with a net positive change of 13.12 points or percentage change of 1.69 and a turnover of 21,760,088 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,250.37 with a net negative change of -3.27 points or a percentage change of -0.15 and turnover of 8,291,680 shares.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 663.02 with a net negative change of -6.29 points or a percentage change of -0.94 and turnover of 7,980,515 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,680.37 with a net positive change of 1.62 points or percentage change of 0.1 and turnover of 5,986,149 shares.
