The Karachi Port handled 142,502 tonnes of cargo including 118,201 tonnes of import cargo; 24,301 tonnes of export cargo and 2,896 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 118,201 tonnes comprised of 23,139 tonnes of containerised cargo; 9,287 tonnes of canola; 1,621 tonnes of oil cake; 165 tonnes of rock phosphate and 83,989 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 24,301 tonnes comprised of 12,904 tonnes of containerised cargo; 140 tonnes of bulk cargo and 11,257 tonnes of cement. Seven ships namely MSC Peggy, ITB Baltimor, Tug Baltimor, Genius Star-VIII, Red Sea Spirit, High Saturn and Bunga Raya Lapan sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz MT Swat, Merian, Song Ngan, Bunga Raya Lapan, Nadia and Thuringia Express are currently at the berths. One ship namely Thuringia Express expected to sail on Thursday, while four vessels viz Lucky Arrow, Merian, MT Swat and Al-Marwah expected to sail on Friday. One vessel viz CSL Marie due to arrive on Thursday, while four ships namely OOCL Charleston, Hammonia Pacificum, Ocean Island and Queen Arrow-II are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 102,651 tonnes of cargo includes 86,846 tonnes of import cargo; 15,805 tonnes of export cargo and 2,355 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Thursday.
The total import cargo of 86,846 tonnes includes 58,586 tonnes of furnace oil; 5,500 tonnes of palm oil; 5,000 tonnes of chemicals and 17,760 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 15,805 tonnes includes 1,753 tonnes of rice and 14,052 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely CV ACX Hibiscus, CV Lobivia and MT Royal Peridot sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz CV CMA CGM Azure is expected to sail on Thursday.
Seven vessels viz CV Lobivia, CV ACX Hibiscus, CV CMA CGM Azure, MV Tan Binh-34, MT Royal Peridot, MT Iron Monger-5 and MT Chemtrans Elbe and MT Bow Power are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
A total number of five ships namely Royal Crystal-7, Al-Salam-II, Theak, Mater Trade and Orient-II carrying palm oil, diesel oil, rice and cemrnt respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Five vessels viz CV ACX Hibiscus, CV Al-Noof, MV Mater Trade, MV Orient-II and Royal Crystal-7 scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Three ships namely CV CMA CGM Puget, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Chembulk Jakarta-II carrying containers, diesel oil and palm oil due to arrive on Thursday, while two more vessels viz container vessel Maersk Novazzano and oil tanker Al-Badraini are due to arrive on Friday. A total number of five ships namely Maersk Utha, MSC Jeanne, Hammurabi, Super Star-III and Terrenes carrying containers, cement and live-stock are also due to arrive.
