The Forth International LPG conference and exhibition "LPG Exp Con 2010" will be held here in federal capital on March 25, 2010, at a local hotel. The event is being organised jointly by LPG Association of Pakistan (LPGAP), Publicity Channel and Energy Update. This conference is also being supported by Paris based World LP Gas Association, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and LPG distributors Association of Pakistan.
M Naeem Qureshi, Chairman Organising Committee of LPG Expo Con told this news agency that the conference will focus on expanding the market for LPG in Pakistan under the theme of "Re-imagining LPG" would be attended by LPG Producers, LPG Marketing Companies, senior officials of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Ogra and vendors and manufactures of LPG.
"The guest speakers will include representatives from across the industry from government and from the regulator," he said adding that the LPG sector has shown tremendous growth since it was deregulated eight years ago.
Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Syed Naveed Qamar, Secretary Petroleum, have invited to inaugurate the conference, Iqbal Z Ahmed, Chairman LPGAP, Fasih Ahmed Director Associated Group, Jamal Akbar Ansari, Chairman Akbar Associates, Sohail Qureshi, Chief Executive SHV Energy, Executive Director Ogra, Belal Jabbar, Abdul Hadi Khan Chairman LPG Distributors Association and other experts will deliver speeches & presentations.
Naeem Qureshi said that an expo will be held on this occasion and manufacturers, vendors and engineering sector would display their products. The objective of the conference is to highlight the true growth potential of the LPG industry and focus issues related to its pricing regulation and safety standards. The exhibition will arrange comprehensive display of the latest products and services available to the LPG-industry including Autogas and Industrial Automation Equipment, he said.
The rising numbers of LPG producers, transportation companies, marketing companies, storage tank, cylinder manufactures and distributors have made the sector highly competitive to the advantage of the consumers. "This sector has attracted an investment of $200 million since 2000 given the large healthy growth dynamics of the sector more investments are expected in the LPG sector in future" he said.
