On Friday, the BRIndex 30 opened at 8,658.34 points and remained in positive for most of the market time with a slight drop in the second session touching the intraday low of 8,617.05 points. It recovered soon afterwards and touched intra-day high of 8,781.75 points and closed at 8,770.07, with a positive change of 111.73 points, or 1.29 percent higher than Thursday's close.
The volume was 145,393,098 shares, which was 75.89 percent of KSE All share volume and 90.31 percent of KSE 100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 191,594,252 shares and KSE100 volume was 161,000,588 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,760.46 with a net positive change of 21.29 points or percentage change of 0.78 and turnover of 37,212,330 shares.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 684.72 with a net positive change of 8.06 points or percentage change of 1.19 and turnover of 32,807,129 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 789.96 with a positive change of 1.64 points or percentage change of 0.21 and turnover of 27,087,167 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,327.48 with a net positive change of 58.4 points or percentage change of 2.57 and turnover of 24,709,511 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,703.18 with a net negative change of -1.33 points or percentage change of -0.08 and turnover of 3,717,435 shares.
