Different circles of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have removed the official sign boards from their main gates due to, what sources said, threats of terror attacks by militant groups. During a brief visit of the various investigation circles, officials gave different views to describe the move of the Agency. Some of them said that the management had decided to renovate the office building while others said that the Agency had received threats from different terrorist groups.
But they did not give the name of the targeted city. The investigation circles from where the Agency has removed the official boards include FIA Crime Circle, FIA Special Investigation Group (SIG) Circle, FIA Commercial Banking Circle-I, FIA Commercial Banking Circle-II and FIA Corporate Crime Circle. An official of the FIA Crime Circle said the management had decided to renovate the building, but when asked that the board was removed six months ago and no renovation work could be witnessed in the crime circle office, he was answerless.
Officials of FIA Commercial Banking Circle-I and FIA Commercial Banking Circle-II said that the federal government has opened new circles. Commercial Banking Circle-I officials said the Agency had shifted the circle some six month ago from Mehmoodabad area; so the board could not be installed till settlement in the area while officials of Commercial Banking Circle-II said the federal government has opened new circle some few months ago.
