Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has called a special meeting of the federal cabinet on Wednesday (March 17) at the Prime Minister's Secretariat to discuss the law and order situation in the country. The Chief Ministers of the four provinces and heads of the law enforcement agencies have been invited to attend the meeting.
The Prime Minister rang up the Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday evening and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the violent acts of terrorism in Lahore yesterday. He informed him of the special cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday and asked him to brief the participants on the security situation in the province.
