A meeting of Law Committee comprising the members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was held at Sindh Chief Minister House here. Progress was made on the draft of Local Government Law presented by both the sides, said an official announcement issued here on Saturday.
It also said that the members of MQM will discuss the draft at their party meeting and inform the PPP about their stand in the next meeting which is scheduled to be held on March 14 at 4.00 pm. PPP leaders Provincial ministers Pir Mazhar-ul-Huq, Agha Siraj Durrani, Syed Murad Ali Shah and Rafiq Engineer as well as MNA Abdul Qadir Patel represented their party in the meeting while Federal Minister Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Waseem Akhtar, Wasey Jalil and others attended the meeting on behalf of MQM.
