A truck loaded with explosives has been seized in Attock area of Haji Shah, however, the three culprits managed to flee in the darkness of the night, a private news channel reported. Quoting the police sources it said ten packs of gunpowder, wires and other bomb-making equipment have been seized from the vehicle.
The truck coming from Peshawar tried to enter the Punjab province, but police officials checked it and found it loaded with explosives. Police believed that the vehicle might have been used for another attack in the province following a suicide attack on the Special Security Agency office in Lahore.
Meanwhile, in the morning, two bombs were also found which were planted adjacent to the home of an anti- Taliban local journalist in Hungo district of the NWFP.
