Punjab Minister for Culture and Youth Affairs Dr Tanvir Ul Islam has directed the officers to ensure 100 percent utilisation of funds released for various on going development schemes. He also directed that during official visits officers should stay in Punjab House instead of staying in hotels of Murree to save extra expenditures.
He was presiding over ADP review meeting of the department in the committee room of Lahore Arts Council, here on Thursday. The meeting was informed that 80 percent work has been completed on the on going schemes and the target of 100 percent utilisation's of funds by June 2010 would be achieved. The meeting reviewed the progress of establishment of museum in Kalar Kahar at a cost of Rs 11.293 million. The minister was informed that conservation of Kattas Raaj Complex is also in progress and so far Rs 8.990 million have been spent on this project.
