To provide education and other basic facilities to the locals, government has completed the renovation of Government Primary school Rustam Kor, Ekka Ghund and construction of causeway at Shawa Farsh in Mohmand Agency. These developmental schemes would benefit thousands of locals in the area, said a spokesman for Fata Secretariat, here Thursday.
The developmental schemes included renovation of government Primary School Rustam Kor Ekka Ghund where 50 tables, 12 chairs, 8 ceiling fans and cupboards have been provided, while 2 toilets, 1 water tank and 1 electric water pump have also been installed. Moreover, 110 meter long and 1 meter wide causeway has also been reconstructed at Shawa Farsh in Tehsil Safi of Mohmand Agency.
The projects were identified by the community members of the respective villages in meetings held with the Political Administration, as the locals were facing a lot of difficulties due to lack of education and transportation facilities in the area.
Addressing the work completion ceremony, Political Agent of Mohmand Agency Amjad Ali Khan said that government is committed to provide education and other basic facilities to every village of the area and these schemes were initiated to improve the living standard of the people.
"Government is providing support to the communities and working to improve the literacy rate and living standard of the people in the area," he remarked. Alam Shaad and Noor Mohammad, the community's members stated on the occasion that renovation of the school and its upgrading would provide an opportunity to the youth in the area to get educated and become civilised individuals.
"Rehabilitation of this school gave us hope for brighter future of our children," they expressed. Another local Raheem said that reconstruction of the causeway has resolved a lot of problems of the people. It also has protected the road from destruction because the main flow of water has now been diverted from the road.
