Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Noman Bashir (Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military) was decorated on Thursday with US Legion of Merit award in recognition of his meritorious services, visionary leadership and enhancing regional maritime security. US Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Gary Roughead decorated Admiral Noman Bashir with the award on behalf of the American President.
A welcome ceremony was held for the Pakistani Naval Chief at Washington Navy Yard, the Pakistani embassy said. The Pakistani Naval Chief is paying an official visit to the United States.
