In the four rounds Royal Palm National Golf Championship currently in progress at the Royal Palm Golf Course, the contender in command of the situation is Ali Hai of Karachi who occupies the top slot on the leader board with another stunning round of two under par 70.
Add to this his first round score of 69 and his aggregate of two rounds is 139, five under par, which certainly makes his performance look brilliant. During the second round on Friday, Ali Hai, teeing off from hole number 10, birdied the first hole and followed this up with more birdies on holes 1 and 5.
All through the second round, Ali displayed a mixture of composure and command and to his credit, not a single shot went wayward, be it off the tees or from the fairways. His card comprises three birdies, fourteen pars and just one bogey on the 4th hole. Another contender who looks worthy and gifted is the defending champion Muhammad Safdar. Not at all overawed by Ali Hai's brilliance, Safdar played solid and looks determined to defend his title.
Following are top position holders: Ali Hai KGC 69+70=139, M.Safdar Khan GUJ 70+70=140, Hamza Amin ISB 70+76=144, Waseem Rana DHA 78+70=148, Salman Jehangir GYM 76+74=150, Sufian Dhaduk DLG 74+76=150, Tariq Mehmood ISB 77+74=151 and Idrees Nisar RWP 76+75=151.
