The Federal Finance Ministry has been asked to do something which is not usually allowed: it has reportedly forwarded a summary for the appointment of Vazir Ali Khoja as Managing Director, National Investment Trust, it is reliably learnt. Khoja is a former banker. He retired from MCB nearly a decade ago.
Under the rules, the maximum age for the appointment is 65 years. Khoja was born in 1943. Eyebrows are being raised as he is over age. Apparently, the MoF has moved the said summary upon orders to do so, from higher authorities.
