Three persons including two cops were killed and 11 others sustained injuries in a remote control cycle bomb blast at Kawari Road here on Sunday. According to police, unidentified men had attached an explosive device with a bicycle and parked it on Kawari Road. They detonated the bomb when an official vehicle of DPO Khuzdar Nazir Kurd was passing from there.
As a result, three persons including driver and gunman of the DPO in the vehicle and a trader were killed while 11 others suffered injuries. The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta where condition of one of them was stated to be critical.
DPO Khuzdar was not in the vehicle when it was blown up with remote control device. Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area. Police have arrested a suspected person from the site.
