A prominent leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khwaja Muhammad Asif has said that PML-N believes in politics of principles and never compromised on it. Addressing a big election meeting in Gujrat on Sunday, he said that our political rivals are a stigma in the face of politics as they have always watched their interests.
He said that when Mian Nawaz Sharif went to condole the death of Begum Zahoor Elahi, these people started bargaining and asked him to make Moonis Elahi the chief minister of Punjab in return for their support. However, Mian Nawaz Sharif replied that he had come only to offer his condolences and it was not the proper time for such issues.
Kh. Asif further said that the next day these people sent their sons and offered unconditional support. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif have never reconciled with cheaters. Speaking on the occasion, Kh. Saad Rafiq said that Mian Nawaz Sharif has the credit of constructing the motorway which links Gawadar with the Silk Route but the Chaudhries did nothing for the people.
He said that so much so the roads in Gujrat were in a dilapidated condition and despite an expenditure of billions of rupees people of the city are still forced to drink contaminated water.
Tehmina Daultana, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Manshaullah Butt, Member Provincial Assembly Rana Arshad, Member National Assembly from Rawalpindi, Malik Shakeel Awan, Haji Nasir Mehmood, Haji Imran Zafar and Chaudhry Jafar also spoke on the occasion.
