Sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqi, Fauzia Siddiqi along with her mother met with Interior Minister Rehman Malik at the CM House here on Sunday. During the meeting, the Federal Minister for Interior Affairs assured them on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani about the progress on the case and of release of Dr Aafia Siddiqi.
Dr Fauzia Siddiqi handed over the snaps of children of Dr Aafia Siddiqi to Rehman Malik and sought the government's help to search them.
He assured them of full co-operation to search the children. Dr Fauzia Siddiq announced to give "Dr Aafia Siddiqi Pride of Performance Award" to Rehman Malik for his efforts for release of Dr Aafia, however, the minister returned the same with thanks and said the return of Dr Aafia and her children will be biggest award for him.
