The former Zila Nazim Hyderabad, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, has said that party backup, team work and sense of ownership were the main factors behind his success in converting devastated district Hyderabad into developed ones. This, he said, while addressing a farewell reception given to him by the Administrator Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri at his residence on Sunday night.
Addressing the reception, the ex-Zila Nazim Hyderabad Kanwar Naveed Jamil said that President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari had taken keen interest and always remained as helping hand in the development of Hyderabad. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari was also inquiring about the progress of development works of Hyderabad from him during meeting with him.
He said that his party MQM entrusted great responsibilities upon him and also gave full support to meet this challenge with success. He said that when he faced difficulties in the release of development funds, had received support from the MQM MNAs, MPAs and Centre to resolve the same difficulties.
He said that the efficient utilisation of the development funds and proper monitoring of the development activities made the efficient deliveries to the people. He said that today Hyderabad was on the path of development and people are being facilitated with the supply of filter water, roads, communications, drainage, health and educational facilities without any discrimination.
He said that Hyderabad had been ignored since long time and it needed more time and development funds for its further development on modern lines. He said that the day was not away when old glories of Hyderabad would be restored. He thanked to the public representatives of his party, officers of governments of all tiers, media and public itself for extending full support in the development of Hyderabad.
