Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghouri has said that Asia's biggest port-based food and entertainment project, Port Grand, would be inaugurated within next 60 days. He was talking to Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad and Provincial Minister for Local Governments Agha Siraj Durrani who visited the Port Grand Project complex to witness the progress of over Rs 1 billion project, being built by Grand Leisure Corporation (GLC) at Karachi Port.
The dignitaries visited the site of the Port Grand and reviewed the progress made by the GLC. Shahid Firoz of GLC briefed them about the project's significance, importance as a world class tourism site as well as the progress made so far. Speaking on the occasion Governor Sindh said that it would be a gift for the citizens of Pakistan. Ghori said that due to some hurdles the project was delayed but it would be inaugurated very soon.
Durrani while appreciating the Port Grand project said that his ministry was willing to cooperate in every possible manner to make this project a success and assured the early provision of water supply to the project. Member National Assembly Khush Bakht Shujat, Chairperson KPT Nasreen Haq and others were also present on the occasion. Shahid Firoz informed the delegation that the visitors would not only come for food and entertainment but over a hundred different concepts have been introduced at the Port Grand.-PR
