The Home Department on Thursday issued a formal notification declaring the 17-room building situated in Deh Khanto, Malir as Anti-Encroachment Police Station.
It may be mentioned here that while acting on a communication from Board of Revenue, the Sindh Government had issued a notification for establishment of Anti-Encroachment Police Station with basic responsibility of providing protection to government land in Karachi, Thatta and Jamshoro districts, to retrieve government land from Qabza mafia and initiation of all out action against them.
Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza has directed the police to perform the assigned responsibilities with utmost impartiality or else they will have to face strict accountability in case of complaints about occupation of government land, connivance with land mafia or their patronage or support.
