Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, has directed that high-powered teams including the ministers should undertake surprise visits from Monday of the examinations centres of the on-going 9th and 10th class annual examinations of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK).
This he said in an official statement issued here on Sunday. The Governor, who is also the controlling authority of the examination boards of the province, said the examination system would have to be made transparent and credible.
He further stated that the machinations of the `mafia' in this connection are being frustrated. In view of this, Ebad maintained, the mafia is trying to sabotage the steps that have been taken for improving the examination system, pointing that this has become obvious from the recent incidents.
