A high level meeting to review the performance of Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) under the chairmanship of Additional IG/PHP Mohammad Wasim was held in the Central Police Office here on Tuesday. The additional IG/PHP emphasised on the participants to take effective measures to cope with the recent wave of terrorism in the country to ensure protection of PHP posts and to provide crime free highways to the road users.
All suspicious vehicles should be checked specially on the Inter-Provincial Borders of the Punjab. He emphasised to establish a strong and informative oriented coordination with the local police. He also directed the officers to operationalise newly constructed patrolling posts as soon as possible and carry out meaningful surprise inspections of the posts to improve the performance of PHP.
