The upper house of the parliament on Tuesday passed National School of Public Policy (Amendment) Bill 2010. Advisor to the Prime Minister Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul moved the bill in Senate, which was passed with majority votes. The Bill is aimed at shifting the headquarters of the National School of Public Policy from Lahore to Islamabad because it was premier training institution of the government.
It is also meant to vest in the office of the Prime Minister, being the head of the Cabinet, the authority for nominating a federal minister as vice chairman of board of governors of the National School of Public Policy.
