The Karachi Port handled 64,942 tonnes of cargo including 46,323 tonnes of import cargo; 18,619 tonnes of export cargo and 330 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 46,323 tonnes comprised of 3,612 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,234 tonnes of canola; 5,785 tonnes of MAP; 10,692 tonnes of rock phosphate wheat and 20,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 18,619 tonnes comprised of 600 tonnes of bulk cargo; 4,831 tonnes of cement; 2,688 tonnes of rice and 10,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely MT Johar, Lucky Lady-1, B Adelaide, B Thera, Kuleli and Stolt Strenght sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Three vessels viz Al-Deerah, Courier and Contancy are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Contancy, Al-Deerah, Bunga Raya Sebelas, Noble Coral and Courier are expected to sail on Thursday. Four vessels viz Saigon Express, Noble Coral, Gulf Safwa and Silver Smooth due to arrive on Wednesday, while nine ships namely Royal Crystal, MT Swat, Wan Hai-603, MSC Ayala, Kota Anggerik, Hanjin Duke, APL Pearl, X-Press Annapurna and Pacific Express are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 63,488 tonnes of cargo includes 55,764 tonnes of import cargo and 7,724 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 55,764 tonnes includes 37,891 tonnes of furnace oil; 2,500 tonnes of palm oil and 15,373 tonnes of phosphoric acid.
The total export cargo of 7,724 tonnes includes 4,635 tonnes of rice and 3,089 tonnes of cement. Two ships namely MT Precedence and MV Green Line sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while a container ship namely CV ACX Crystal is expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Seven vessels viz MV Super Star-II, MV Green Line, MV Eleonora, MT Palanimalai, MT Malvern, MT Precedence and MT Iron Monger-5 are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, rice, phosphoric acid, LPG, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely ACX Crystal, CSAV Jura, Bum Chin, Platters, Iron Monger-5 and Oriental Oki carrying containers, soyabean oil, crude oil, furnace oil and chemicals are respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Four vessels viz CV ACX Crystal, CV CSAV Jura, CV CMA CGM Coral and MV Bum Chin carrying containers and soyabean oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Two container ships namely CV Mare Phoenicium and CV Asir are due to arrive on Thursday, while four more ships namely CV CMA CGM Eiffel, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Sarawak and MT Al-Soor-II are due to arrive on Friday. Two ships namely Maersk Miami and Bunga Melati-7 carrying containers and palm oil are also due to arrive.
