The Karachi Port handled 109,710 tonnes of cargo including 64,648 tonnes of import cargo; 45,062 tonnes of export cargo and 4,350 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 64,648 tonnes comprised of 34,710 tonnes of containerised cargo; 8,068 tonnes of bulk cargo; 6,278 tonnes of canola; 5,705 tonnes of MAP and 9,887 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 45,062 tonnes comprised of 21,904 tonnes of containerised cargo; 753 tonnes of bulk cargo; 5,105 tonnes of cement; 1,760 tonnes of rice and 15,540 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely Ken Gallant, Contancy, Al-Deerah and Bunga Raya Sebelas sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Nine vessels viz Golden Top, Bunga Raya Sebelas, Atlantis Alhambra, Hanjin Kingston, Noble Coral, Motivator, Silver Smooth, Gulf Safwa and Saigon Express are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Hanjin Kingston, Golden Top and Atlantis Alhambra expected to sail on Thursday, while four vessels viz Saigon Express, Motivator, MSC Ayala and Velebit are expected to sail on Friday.
Five vessels viz MT Swat, Hanjin Duke, Wan Hai-603, Kota Anggerik and APL Pearl due to arrive on Thursday, while five ships namely Asdrubal, X-Press Annapurna, Merian, OOCL Charleston and Jin Princess are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 93,411 tonnes of cargo includes 67,474 tonnes of import cargo; 25,937 tonnes of export cargo and 3,189 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 67,474 tonnes includes 27,669 tonnes of furnace oil; 8,100 tonnes of soyabean oil; 7,300 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 24,405 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 25,937 tonnes includes 6,634 tonnes of rice; 559 tonnes of cement and 18,744 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV ACX Crystal, CSAV Jura, MT Palanimalai and MT Iron Monger-5 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely CV CMA CGM Coral, MV Super Star-II and MV Bum Chin are expected to sail on Thursday. Nine vessels viz CV ACX Crystal, CV CSAV Jura, CV CMA CGM Coral, MV Super Star-II, MV Eleonora, MT Palanimalai, MT Malvern, MV Bum Chin and MT Iron Monger-5 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, phosphoric acid, LPG, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Mare Phoenicium, Platters, Bunga Melati-7, Iron Monger-5 and Oriental Oki carrying containers, crude oil, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Four vessels: Container ship Mare Phoenicium, chemicals carrier Oriental Oki, edible oil vessel Bunga Melati-7 and oil tanker Platters are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Container ship namely CV Asir due to arrive on Thursday, while four more ships namely CV CMA CGM Eiffel, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Sarawak and MT Al-Soor-II carrying containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Friday. Two ships namely Maersk Miami and DP Proteus carrying containers and chemicals are also due to arrive.
