The Karachi Port handled 89,108 tonnes of cargo including 53,485 tonnes of import cargo; 35,623 tonnes of export cargo and 5,439 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 53,485 tonnes comprised of 35,443 tonnes of containerised cargo; 9,117 tonnes of bulk cargo; 2,211 tonnes of canola; 4,803 tonnes of MAP and 1,911 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 35,623 tonnes comprised of 19,834 tonnes of containerised cargo; 30 tonnes of bulk cargo; 4,811 tonnes of cement; 688 tonnes of rice and 10,260 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Nine ships namely Hanjin Kingston, Saigon Express, MSC Ayala, Noble Coral, Silver Smooth, Golden Top, Gulf Safwa, Atlantis Alhambra and Motivator sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Al-Karim-M, MSC Ayala, Hyundai Duke, APL Pearl, Wan Hai-603, Pacific Express and Royal Crystal-7 are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Ashraf -B, Velebit and Kota Anggerik expected to sail on Friday, while six vessels viz APL Pearl, Pacific Express, Courier, Hyundai Duke, Wan Hai-603 and Shehab Almuhieddino are expected to sail on Saturday.
Five vessels viz Asdrubal, Merian, Wan Hai-603, OOCL Charleston and Jin Princess due to arrive on Friday, while three ships namely APL Sokhna, TS Dubai and Binin are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 38,945 tonnes of cargo includes 32,919 tonnes of import cargo; 6,026 tonnes of export cargo and 636 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 32,919 tonnes includes 14,060 tonnes of crude oil; 6,279 tonnes of palm oil; 4,206 tonnes of chemicals; 1,534 tonnes of LPG; and 6,840 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 6,026 tonnes includes 3,062 tonnes of rice; 804 tonnes of cement and 2,160 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV CMA CGM Coral, CV Mare Phoenicium, MV Super Star-II and MV Bum Chin sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MV Eleonora, MT Malvern and MT Oriental Oki are expected to sail on Friday.
Seven vessels viz CV Mare Phoenicium, MV Super Star-II, MV Eleonora, MT Malvern, MT Oriental Oki, Bunga Melati-7 and MT Platters are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, LPG, chemicals, palm oil and crude oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Maersk Novazzano, CMA CGM Eiffel, sanho Glory, Iron Monger-3 and Alexi-3 carrying containers, palm oil, furnace oil and cement are respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV CMA CGM Eiffel and MT Royal Crystal carrying containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Friday.
Two ships namely CV MSC Sarawak and MT Al-Soor-II carrying containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Friday, while another container ship namely CV Pueiche is due to arrive on Saturday. Five ships namely Maersk Miami, Maersk Montana, Al-Mirqab, Advance Victoria and DP Proteus carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals are also due to arrive.
