Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) should also reopen corruption cases filed against Pakistan Muslim League - N as it is reopening the cases against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which were dismissed under the National Reconciliation Ordnance (NRO), said former federal minister Ijaz-ul-Haq while talking to media on Sunday.
He also said that the 18th Amendment Bill is a good omen but, cannot prove to be a hurdle in Martial Law's way. We do not demand mid term election and the government should complete its five-year term, he expressed. Haq said that he thinks it has not become possible for the government to control the situation as it has absolutely failed to control unemployment, price hike, corruption and crisis in the energy sector.
He appealed to CJP to reopen all the corruption cases against all those involved to curb this menace. To a question, Ijaz-ul-Haq replied that there is a need to establish a check and balance system in the country. NAB should be established under judiciary to hold a person accountable without discrimination of any party or designation, said Haq.
He further said that our foreign policy is not independent because it is still dictated by the US administration. This is the reason why our army chief is included in the dialogues instead of foreign minister, he added.
