Deputy Director Excise and Taxation Gilgit-Baltistan, Asifullah Khan on Sunday said an automatic system for the registration of non-custom paid vehicles had been established by the department. Talking to APP he said the system was second of its kind after Punjab.
He said there were about 40,000 non-custom paid vehicles running in GB in recent time which would be registered under the new system. Recommendations for the legalisation of these vehicles had been formulated and once the Legislative Assembly approve these recommendations the registration process would start, he said, adding that necessary paperwork had already been accomplished in this regard.
