Irri 6 Sindh, Descon 50 pc, bajra, gur, castorseed milk powder and moong Punjab showed rising trend on the commodities wholesale markets while the rest fluctuated modestly on the downside.
The opening day saw a few changes on commodities wholesale markets and Jodia Bazar. On commodities markets Irri rice 6 Sindh rose by Rs 25 to Rs 2450, til low type conceded Rs 100 to Rs 3700 while the better type was put at Rs 4000. Chemical items in Jodia Bazar Hydro sulphate (per pound) China 88 pc ended down by 40 paisa to Rs 70 while same item from Germany quoted at Rs 66, Hydrogen peroxide descon 50 pc down 50 paisa to Rs 40.50, and Thailand quoted at Rs 40.50.
On Tuesday gur and Khandsari ended lower. However, on the gram sector bajra low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1900, while the better type was quoted unchanged at Rs 2550, gur low type was down by Rs 200 to Rs 4800, super type was sharply lower by Rs 600 to Rs 5000, Khandsari low type lost Rs 500 to RS 7000, while better type was quoted down at Rs 7500. Rapeseed Nawabshah lost Rs 25 to Rs 1625 while the better type was quoted at Rs 1635.
On Wednesday rice was down owing to loss in exports. Such as Irri 9 Sindh dropped Rs 200 to Rs 3000 while the other type was quoted at RS 3200. Irri 6 Sindh was quoted at Rs 2450 and the other variety was seen at Rs 2475, Basmati D98 Shahdadkot and Banaspati 98 B aghrjee low type was down by Rs 300 to Rs 3800, while the other type shed Rs 200 to Rs 4000. Super Basmati Sindh in sympathy was down by Rs 200 to Rs 4600 while the better quality was quoted at Rs 4800. Bajra was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1900 while better type was quoted at Rs 2550. Gur better type was quoted at Rs 500 to Rs 5500 while inferior type was quoted at Rs 4800. Castorseeds Lasbela rose by Rs 200 to Rs 2100, castor seed Sindh rose by Rs 200 to Rs 2000, castorseed oilcake with bag lost Rs 10 to Rs 1010 while the other was quoted at Rs 1020.
On Jodia Bazar milk powder skimmed (per bag of 25 kgs) Irish skimmed quoted at Rs 6700, Poland edged higher by Rs 1000 to Rs 7000, Holand's gained Rs 700 to Rs 7200 and Amul (India) rose by Rs 500 to Rs 7,500.
On Thursday moong Punjab rose by Rs 250 to Rs 6500, masoor Canada conceded Rs 100 to Rs 7600, gram 50x50 low type was down Rs 150 to Rs 4000 while the other type was down Rs 50 to Rs 4300.
On Jodia Bazar Kenyan tea (per kg) PF-1 A grade rose by Rs 15 to Rs 425 while B grade was quoted at Rs 400. BP-1 A grade was quoted at Rs 400, B grade rose by Rs 20 to Rs 360, plus C grade shed Rs 55 to Rs 320 and C grade rose by Rs 25 to Rs 300, D-1 grade closed higher by Rs 40 to Rs 380.
On Friday not a single deal was finalised as most of the participants were busy in preparations for Juma prayers.
On Jodia Bazar Kirana items moved both ways. The changes were: KIRANA ITEMS (Per 40 kg): white pepper edged up by Rs 1,200 to Rs 19,200, black pepper Singapore went higher by Rs 500 to Rs 11,300, black pepper Ceylon finished up by Rs 1,500 to Rs 11,400, black pepper Brazil moved upward by Rs 1,200 to Rs 11,800. Mace closed higher by Rs 3000 to Rs 43,800, big cardamom closed up by Rs 3000 to Rs 38,000 and cloves moved downward by Rs 300 to Rs 18,500.
On Saturday gram 50x50 low type was higher by Rs 250 to Rs 4250 and better type rose by Rs 150 to Rs 4450 and gram dal was up by Rs 100 to Rs 5200-5400. Irri 6 Sindh quoted lower at Rs 2425, other items maintained overnight levels. Seed and cereals sides did not move any said due to balanced demand and supply position.
On Jodia Bazar plastic moulding compounds closed mixed.

Saudia 952 closed up by 50 paisa to Rs 63.50, Mobil went higher by 50 paisa to Rs 63.50 and TR144 moved upward by 50 paisa to Rs 63.50. HDPE (INJECTION): Sabic 200056 closed down by Re 1 to Rs 72, Mobil 016 moved lower by Re 1 to Rs 72 and Iran edged downward by Rs 3 to Rs 70.
HDPE (BLOW): Kuwait finished lower by Re 1 to Rs 65, Marlex Singapore closed down by Re 1 to Rs 66 and Iran ended downward by Re 1 to Rs 64. LDPE: 374 finished lower by Re 1 to Rs 84, MG 20 ended down by Rs 3 to Rs 90 and MG 70 moved downward by Re 1 to Rs 91. LLDPE: Sabic 500026 edged lower by Rs 2 to Rs 95.
POLYPROPYLENE (FILM): Thai moved higher by Re 1 to Rs 65, Kuwait closed up by Re 1 to Rs 65 and India ended upward by Re 1 to Rs 65.
POLYPROPYLENE (TAPE GRADE): India moved upward by Re 1 to Rs 64, Kuwait finished up by Re 1 to Rs 64 and Saudia closed higher by Re 1 to Rs 64. POLYPROPYLENE (INJECTION GRADE): Saudia closed up by Re 1 to Rs 65, India ended higher by Re 1 to Rs 65 and Kuwait closed higher by Re 1 to Rs 65. POLYSTYRENE: Pakistani was quoted at Rs 4,240. COPOLY: Block moved down by Re 1 to Rs 71 and Randon edged lower by Re 1 to Rs 79. HIGH IMPACT (Per bag): Pakistani was quoted at Rs 4,570. ABS: Polylac 707 finished higher by Rs 200 to Rs 5,900 and Iran was quoted at Rs 5,700.
