Punjab police, led by DSP Allama Iqbal town here 3:00 pm, on Sunday launched an operation to hold culprits who attacked Professor, Punjab University, Muhammad Ifthikar Baluch. The operation failed to achieve the desired results as no culprit, was arrested nor any arms were recovered in the operation.
Meanwhile, head of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan visited Professor Baluch during the day and inquired about his health. He strongly condemned the attack and asked the authorities to arrest culprits involved in the attack.
