It is legal right of a citizen to get his first information report (FIR) registered. But, the process of the registration of FIR has been made so difficult that the majority of the people do not go for it. The right is also taken away from the people due to the fact that the police do not show any interest towards the victim of a crime.
Bribery is so rampant in the police department that a victim was compelled to grease the palms of the person who is supposed register his FIR. It is a request to the government to look into this menace so that people could get this legal right of FIR of registration.
