The Karachi Port handled 253,547 tonnes of cargo including 166,252 tonnes of import cargo; 87,295 tonnes of export cargo and 4,670 loaded and empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 166,252 tonnes comprised of 69,222 tonnes of containerised cargo; 496 tonnes of bulk cargo; 51,709 tonnes of coal; 1,890 tonnes of MAP; 2,000 tonnes of sulphur and 40,935 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 87,295 tonnes comprised of 67,581 tonnes of containerised cargo; 664 tonnes of bulk cargo; 2,746 tonnes of cement; 1,104 tonnes of rice and 15,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Twelve ships namely Hyundai Duke, Wan Hai-603, Courier, Kum San, Shehab Almuhieddin, Asdrubal, OOCL Charleston, APL Sokhna, X-Press Annapurna, OEL Trust, MT Swat and Jin Princess sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eleven vessels viz Sinin, APL Sokhna, Dorian, Sun Shine, Posen, OEL Trust, TS Dubai, Liang Shan, Wisdom, Galaxy and Seven Express are currently at the berths. One ship namely Alliancs Charkileston, expected to sail on Monday, while ten vessels viz Ali Z, New Leagand Sun, Seven Express, Posen, Sun Shine, Al-Karim-M, Galaxy, Al-Mirqab, Sinin and TS Dubai are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Five vessels viz Kuleli, Al-Mirqab, Bunga Raya Tujah, Jaikur-II and Beluga Fanfare due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Valrossa, Uni Promote, Hanjin Duesseldrof, Lady Nisreen and Red Sea Spirit are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 96,971 tonnes of cargo includes 82,328 tonnes of import cargo; 14,643 tonnes of export cargo and 3,411 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 82,328 tonnes includes 38,557 tonnes of crude furnace oil; 8,536 tonnes of palm oil and 35,235 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 14,643 tonnes includes 1,899 tonnes of cement and 12,744 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely MT Bunga Melati-5, CV Puelche and CV Al-Mirqab sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV Maersk Montana is expected to sail on Monday.
Six vessels viz CV Maersk Montana, CV Al-Mirqab, MV Alexi-3, MV Oriental Moon, MT Samho Gloria and MT Iron Monger-3 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Four ships namely MSC Sarawak, Al-Soor-II, Advance Victoria and Quetta carrying containers, diesel oil, and furnace oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two container vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak and CV Northern Diplomat are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Monday. Container ship namely CV Nedlloyd Ocean is due to arrive on Tuesday. Six ships namely ACX Marguerrte, CMA CGM Turquoise, CSAV Appennini, OOCL Kobe, Advance Victoria and DP Proteus carrying containers, diesel oil and chemicals are also due to arrive.
