Talking with Talat Hussain in Aaj TV's programme Live with Talat, former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan said the government had mishandled the NRO issue before the Supreme Court by not producing the relevant record before the court. Asked whether he knew the reason behind government's strategy, he replied in the negative.
However, he added that he was convinced that had the government brought the facts of the cases before the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the court would have been convinced. Responding to a question about court's possible action if the government failed to implement the NRO judgement in letter and spirit, he said the court could order the arrest of the law minister and the senior NAB officials. According to him, he had to resign because the government was not listening to his advice on the NRO judgement.
