OGDCL ordered to pay Rs 390 million royalty to Talal Bugti

Justice Asad Munir of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench Monday ordered the Oil and Gas Development Authority Limited (OGDCL) to pay Rs 390 million royalty of Auch Gas Field to Talal Bugti, the scion of late Nawab Akbar Bugti within a period of seven days.
In a writ petition Talal Bugti prayed to court that the Auch Gas field was situated on their ancestral land and OGDCL was extracting gas from their land but not paying royalty to them. On last hearing the court summoned the record from revenue department, which confirmed the ownership of Talal Bugti. The court while disposing of the petition directed the OGDCL to pay royalty to Bugti and convey the court, payment of royalty in writing.
