Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets during early trade on Tuesday. May arabica coffee contract dropped 1.15 cents to $1.3805 per lb at 11:00 am EDT (1500 GMT). Ranging from $1.3780 to $1.3920. Arabica coffee futures dropped in sideways dealings, hit by the strong dollar and lower commodity complex, said traders.
May raw sugar contract gained 0.15 cent at 16.04 cents per lb by 11:01 am. Range from 15.72 cents to 16.30 cents a lb. Sugar moved up on light investor buying with downside risk still a factor in the market after dropping sharply from the nine-year top at 30.40 cents on February 1, said traders. July cocoa contract fell $55 to $2,890 per tonne at 11:01 am. Session range from $2,874 to $2,930. US cocoa futures continued to fall as May/July spreading dominated the session amid a weak pound, said traders.
