Teams participating in the first Chief Minister's Sports Gala 2010 for special children from all over the Punjab reached at Punjab Stadium Lahore on Wednesday. Full dress rehearsal of colourful programmes to be continued from April 8 to April 10.
Secretary Special Education Muhammad Ilyas, Additional Secretary Syed Hasan Rizvi, Deputy Secretary Syed Muhammad Aamil Shah, Director Shahnaz Nawaz, Chairman Sports Committee Muhammad Fazil Cheema, Director Sports Kazim Muqaddas Shah and others were present on the occasion.
According to the details, Badminton and Table Tennis competitions will be held in the morning of April 8 at 8:30 am among mentally and physically disabled and blind students at Punjab College of Commerce whereas. Cricket matches will be played between deaf students at Cricket Ground of Punjab University New Campus.
Minister for Special Education Punjab, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Sports Gala at 6 pm on Thursday. Competitions of recitation from Holy Quran, Naat, National Anthem, March Past, PT Show, Athletics, Karate, Tug of War and national songs will be held during this Sports Gala. Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony to be held at Punjab Stadium in the evening.
