The Karachi Port handled 70,615 tonnes of cargo including 27,224 tonnes of import cargo; 43,391 tonnes of export cargo and 2,868 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 27,224 tonnes comprised of 21,729 tonnes of containerised cargo; 43 tonnes of bulk cargo; 252 tonnes of rock phosphate and 5,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 43,391 tonnes comprised of 34,741 tonnes of containerised cargo; 285 tonnes of bulk cargo; 1,872 tonnes of cement; 2,293 tonnes of rice and 4,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Ten ships namely Posen, Sun Shine, Sinin, TCG Gemlik, Al-Mirqab, Liang Shan, Bunga Raya Tujah, Dorian, Galaxy and TS Dubai sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eight vessels viz Uni Promote, Valrossa, Hanjin Duesseldrof, Lady Nisreen, Jaikur-II, Red Sea Spirit, Kuleli and Dubai Star are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Hanjin Duesseldrof, Kuleli, Valrossa and Cap George expected to sail on Thursday. Five vessels viz Bow Cape, Genie, Bunga Raya Enam, Cap George and OXL Triumph due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Lucky-7, Advance Victoria, Golden Oceania, Hyundai Commodore and Kang Hing are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 82,950 tonnes of cargo includes 67,828 tonnes of import cargo; 15,122 tonnes of export cargo and 1,947 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 67,828 tonnes includes 49,748 tonnes of diesel oil; 200 tonnes of chemicals and 17,880 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 15,122 tonnes includes 3,544 tonnes of rice; 2,518 tonnes of cement and 9,060 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV MSC Sarawak, CV Nedlloyd Oceania and MT Al-Soor-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely MT DP Porteus and CV ACX Marguerrte are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon. Six vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak, CV Nedlloyd Oceania, MV Alexi-III, MV Oriental Moon, MT DP Porteus and MT Al-Soor-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely ACX Marguerrte, CMA CGM Turquoise, Asir, Galaxy, Advance Victoria and Quetta carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil and furnace oil are respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Five vessels viz CV ACX Marguerrte, CV CMA CGM Turquoise, CV Asir, MT Advance Victoria and MT Galaxy carrying containers, diesel oil and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
MV Fraternity is due to arrive on Wednesday, while six more ships namely CV CSAV Appennini, CV OOCL Kobe, CV Al-Abdali, CV MSC Aurelie, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Al-Anberiah are due to arrive on Thursday. Three ships namely MSC Jeanne, Naersk Naha and Emerald Park carrying containers and MEG are also due to arrive.
