Three Major-Generals of Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Generals on Thursday, a private TV channel reported. According to the channel, they are Major Generals Haroon Aslam, Mohammad Arshad Mehmood and Waheed Arshad.
Major General Haroon Aslam is currently working as General Officer Commanding (GOC) Special Services Group Chirat, Major General Arshad Mehmood as Director General Anti Terrorism Wing in Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) while Major General Waheed Arshad as Vice Chief of General Staff in GHQ. Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kiyani has dispatched a summary with regard to the promotion of these officers to the Prime Minister for a formal notification.
