Sindh Minister for Transport, Akhter Hussain Jadon on Sunday said a modern terminal of trucks/trailers will be developed on 500 acres at Northern Bypass. The Sindh Minister was addressing as a chief guest at a programme organised by All Pakistan Ittefaq Truck/Trailers Welfare Association Karachi, said a statement.
He said besides a modern trucks/trailers terminal at Northern Bypass, three terminals will also be built at three highways in order to facilitate the transporters. The Minister said the transport department is fully co-operating with the people associated with the transport sector and working for resolution of their problems. He said the doors of his office and residence are always open for the transporters. Referring to the complaints of some transporters against the police, he advised the transporters to inform him in writing about the same, which he said will be resolved.
Talking to the Minister, Chairman All Pakistan Ittefaq Truck/Trailers Welfare Association Karachi, Abdul Wadood the transporters faced many injustices during the tenure of previous government and their problems had not been highlighted at any forum.
